Most vineyard managers are also technology researchers as they modify and observe how changes in their vineyard management changes vine growth and fruit quality. However, not all changes in management necessarily result in the changes observed by the manager. Drs. Anamosa and Madden draw upon their combined 25 years in international agricultural development in Africa, Central and South America, Middle East, Central Asia and China as soil science researchers and research managers to help growers set up and evaluate simple reliable experiments in the field.
